You Can Write a Good Article

By Tech Boy | November 5, 2008

We are all aware the raw power and efficiency of article marketing.  All of us can even say that article marketing is the most potent and cost-effective web marketing tactic that has been invented since the creation of the digital realm.

The fact minus the fluff, if you’re operating an internet venture, you have to exploit marketing with articles.

However, one of the most common questions I receive is this: how can I prepare a good article?

This reveals that though most online businessmen realize that they have to pursue article marketing, not everyone is skilled enough to craft an internet-ready piece of informative content.

Hence, I have prepared some easy to follow steps on how you can craft the most suitable good article for online advertising purposes.

  1. Decide the topic you want to discuss with your article.

  2. Don’t attempt to write about a broad topic.  Filter it down to a more specific subject that people will be fascinated with.  For example, don’t tackle the broad subject of “dogs.”  Find a sub-topic that will capture the interest of the prospects you will be aiming for.  As is often the case, this sub-topic pertains to a specific demand, like “dog training” for people who are experiencing difficulty when it comes to living with their unruly canine companions, or “dog grooming” for allergic owners who can’t survive the smell of their untidy canine companions.  You have to discover a sub-topic that will make people take notice.  This is vital.  Countless articles fail because they don’t discuss a more tangible topic.
  3. Because the sub-topic should reflect a particular demand, your article should share an answer.  However, depending on the purpose of the article, the answer you will discuss will vary.  By way of example, if you’re going to use the article to market a product, then hold back on the remedy you will share.  Your aim, in such a scenario, is to provide the impression that you are an expert in the field, and compel your readers to consider what you will be offering.  Keep this in mind as you prepare your article.
  4. Formulate a catchy seeking title that is dumbed down but nonetheless enticing.  People will click on your article if they will like its title.  Otherwise, no one will get to read what you have prepared.
  5. Remember that every article has three basic parts: the introduction, the body, and the conclusion.  The introduction will state to your audience what your piece is all about.  You can deliver a shocking fact, a gut-wrenching statistic, or a witty anecdote to shake your readers into realizing that indeed, you are the a true expert in the field.  The body will explore the message you want to relay, naturally.  And the conclusion will review the problem, the provided solution, as well as deliver some calls to action (i.e. click my link) if applicable.
  6. How long should your article be? It’s safe to say that three hundred to seven hundred and fifty words would be fantastic!

These are just some basic tips for article writing.  It is not difficult to write a good article all it takes is a little planning and some thought.  With time you will find it gets a lot quicker.  For further advice on writing a good article and other ways you can increase your website traffic take a look at Marketeermum.
